The breakthrough came when a cross from Issa Kaboré was inadvertently redirected into the Millwall net by Zak Sturge, resulting in an own goal that put Wrexham ahead in the first half. Kieffer Moore extended their lead shortly after the break with a powerful shot from about 20 yards out. Jacques Ekomié sealed the win with a close-range finish, ensuring a comprehensive victory for the visitors.
Millwall faced further difficulties as they have now conceded eight goals in their last two games, despite starting the season with two consecutive clean-sheet wins. The team’s troubles were exacerbated by injuries to striker Josh Coburn and midfielder Casper De Norre.
