Oman and the United States are exploring avenues to enhance their economic and investment cooperation, with a particular emphasis on boosting trade, supporting Omani exports, and drawing American investments. These discussions were held during a meeting between Oman’s Minister of Economy, Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, and representatives from the Oman Trade Office in the United States.

During the visit of the U.S. delegation to Oman, the parties reviewed the trade office’s past achievements and discussed future plans, challenges, and opportunities to deepen economic relations. A significant focus was placed on increasing the accessibility of Omani products in the U.S. market and encouraging American businesses to invest in Oman.

The bilateral trade between the two nations had reached approximately OMR 555.26 million by the end of July 2026. Oman’s major exports to the United States include chemicals and aluminum, while the U.S. primarily exports vehicles and transport equipment to Oman.

Both countries are keen on developing new areas of trade cooperation, which could further solidify their economic ties. The discussions signal a mutual interest in strengthening the partnership and maximizing the potential for economic growth and investment between Oman and the United States.
