Lewis Pullman and Danielle Brooks announced the 98th Academy Awards nominations this evening, with two films claiming the top spots. Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” and Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” secured the most nominations.
Their claim to top spots came through extensive recognition across categories. “One Battle After Another” claimed recognition in directing, adapted screenplay, multiple acting categories, cinematography, and sound design. The comprehensive acknowledgment reflects the film’s excellence.
“Sinners” claimed equally top positioning through nominations in directing, cinematography, production design, costume design, sound design, visual effects, and acting. Coogler’s ambitious vision earned widespread acknowledgment from Academy voters.
Other films claiming nominations include “Marty Supreme,” which secured recognition in directing and acting categories. “Hamnet,” “Sentimental Value,” and “Frankenstein” also earned multiple acknowledgments. Unfortunately, “Homebound” failed to claim any nominations.
Mark your calendars for March 15, when the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles hosts the 98th Academy Awards. The ceremony will air at 7 p.m. ET on ABC, where top nominees will compete for Oscar victories.
