Newsmatics has announced a new collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Administration at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, aimed at providing students with hands-on experience in business and artificial intelligence projects. Set to commence in the fall of 2026, this partnership will allow students to engage with real-world projects currently under exploration at Newsmatics. Utilizing company data and technological tools, student teams will work on assignments that could potentially advance to implementation, presenting their findings to company leaders.
The initial project areas will include measuring marketing effectiveness, identifying potential customer bases, evaluating new market opportunities, enhancing sales through AI, and selecting suitable AI tools for customer service. Additionally, students will have the chance to develop strategies for better communication with diverse customer segments. This initiative expands on Newsmatics’ previous collaborations with the university’s Faculty of Informatics and Faculty of Social Studies, where students have worked on software engineering, artificial intelligence, and data science projects, with some moving on to professional roles within the company.
As part of this new endeavor, Newsmatics employees will be actively involved in classroom activities, sharing insights from their experience in AI, global news monitoring, and media technology product development. The program is designed to provide students not only with academic projects but also opportunities for paid internships, part-time roles, thesis projects centered on company challenges, and potential employment with Newsmatics post-graduation.
David Rothstein, CEO of Newsmatics, highlighted the intent behind the partnership, emphasizing the value of allowing students to test their ideas on practical business challenges and gain real-world experience. This aligns with Newsmatics’ broader mission to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application in the fields of business and technology.
